Tender Description

The North Kensington Recovery (NKR) Wellbeing Support Lead will support the NKR programme to improve the health, wellbeing and resilience of people affected by the Grenfell Tower fire by delivering trauma‑informed, community‑led, wellbeing services that are culturally relevant, accessible, and responsive to evolving need. Services should be designed to support non-linear journeys, recognising that individuals may engage at different points over time. Its key objectives are: 1. Co-ordinate a trauma‑informed, community‑based wellbeing offer for people whose health is affected by the Grenfell Tower Fire, by leading a programme of funding for a range of Grenfell specific wellbeing services. The selection of these should be shaped by community engagement, needs data and learning on how to meet the diverse needs of Grenfell‑affected populations, with a particular focus on survivors and bereaved. 2. Improve access to culturally relevant community‑led support by ensuring services provided are delivered by local groups with experience working with Grenfell affected communities, set in trusted local settings that are culturally competent and inclusive. Access arrangements should also reduce barriers to engagement for those least likely to access statutory services, and the Lead will also support services work in partnership with GP surgeries and other NHS services, and to promote the wellbeing service offer. 3. Ensure that services are delivering against agreed North Kensington Recovery programme health outcomes, and provide high quality, safe and effective support. Evidence should be provided to demonstrate this, which must be accessible to local communities to enable transparency. 4. Carry out the functions of the Wellbeing Support Lead with efficiency, enabling as much of the funding as possible to go to community based organisations via grant awards. This is for a period of up to 3 years with a maximum budget of £900k.
