he aim of Support Services for children and their families is to provide packages and programmes of support which build on the strengths of families and lead to improved quality of life. It is intended to establish a 10-year Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System (PDPS) in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015, Regulations 74 -76 (Light Touch). A PDPS is an electronic system used by a public sector body to procure contracts for works or services. As long as suppliers can meet minimum criteria for entry to the PDPS, there are no restrictions on who can or cannot join. The Support Services for Children and Young People PDPS will cover Merseyside and parts of Cheshire, and be split into 8 Lots as follows: Lot 1: Care and Personal Support (including domiciliary and social care) Lot 2: Complex Health Lot 3: Education and Learning Support Lot 4: Behaviour Support Lot 5: Short Breaks / Leisure, Outreach and Recreation Lot 6: Family Support Lot 7: Support Planning Lot 8: Brokerage Lot 9: Adoption Support Providers can apply to be accredited and enrolled onto all, some, or individual Lots. The PDPS will remain open during the 10 year period; this means that following the initial assessment and establishment of the PDPS, providers can apply to be added to PDPS at any point in time. Although providers may apply at any time, applications will only be assessed by the named organisations then added to the PDPS at certain points during the year.
