Community Buddy Scheme.

Hampshire County Council invites applications from suitably experienced organisations who wish to be considered for selection to tender for the Community Buddy Scheme. The Community Buddy Scheme is part of Hampshire County Council’s Short Breaks offer, enabling children and young people with a disability and/or additional need to access their local community or an activity of their choice. Activities could include but are not exclusive to; support to join a community group, supporting access to community recreation such as parks and leisure facilities or supporting a child or young person with life skills such as shopping or eating out. The buddy scheme support is subject to a flat rate hourly contribution from the child or young person’s family. The Framework commenced on 1st April 2024 and will be for a period of two years with the option to extend for a further two years.
