The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") is conducting this procurement exercise, in accordance with the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/102), and intends to establish an Electronic Market Place ("EMP") with Providers with relevant experience and ability for the provision of Supported Accommodation to looked after or care leavers aged 16+. The Council is establishing a new 16+ Supported Accommodation Electronic Market Place (EMP) to meet its duties under the Childrens Act 1989 & 2004 when securing a Supported Accommodation placement for either; • a looked after child is placed in an 'other arrangements' placement or • a care leaver is placed in 'suitable accommodation'. This EMP is anticipated to run from 01 April 2024 to 31 March 2034. The value of the Services to be awarded through this EMP is estimated to be approximately £3,000,000.00 (three million pounds) per annum.
