Young Persons Support and Guidance
Express InterestTender Description
A support service that will enable Rochdale Local Authority to carry out its statutory duties with regard to the participation of young people, between the ages of 16 and 17 (and 19-25 where young people have an Education Health and Care Plan or are from a care background). This will be achieved by supporting and influencing young people to raise aspirations, supporting their ability to participate in education, training or employment with training. Rochdale Borough Council’s objective is to commission a Support and Outreach service for Rochdale’s priority groups of young people that tracks, identifies and intervenes early and offers ongoing appropriate specialist support and guidance, which will enable them to make informed, realistic decisions for effective transition into Education, Employment and/or Training (EET) and reduce Rochdale Borough’s NEET numbers. The service will be innovative and highly flexible, responding quickly to changes in legislation and local priorities.
